The Suicide Squad: Everything You Need To Know About Starro

1. His Son Was Batman's Sidekick

Starro The Suicide Squad
DC Comics

When the Omega Titan tore apart Starro, we all know everyone's favourite one-eyed starfish would return.

But NOBODY expected the Star Conqueror would return the way he did. After the original Starro met his maker, Batman preserved a tissue sample of him, which mutated into a mini-star called Jarro.

Like his progenitor, Jarro had the power of telepathy, superstrength, regeneration, and spore production. Because he was raised with Batman's strict moral code, Jarro vowed to follow in the footsteps of the Caped Crusader and became his trusty sidekick. Jarro dreamed about being "the best Robin ever" and reguarly had fantasies where he fought crime while wearing his own Robin outfit.

Jarro adored Batman and constantly referred to him as "Dad". He was affectionate towards all of Bats' friends, and took drastic measures to protect them. When he learned the Legion of Doom were about to attack the Justice League, Jarro spawned hypnotic spores in the Hall of Justice to compel the superheroes to stay away from the supervillains.

As ridiculous as this revised Starro sounds, Jarro was a huge hit with readers and is considered the best incarnation of the character.
