The Suicide Squad Review: 9 Ups & 1 Down

2. The Totally INSANE Third Act

Despite how strong the first two acts of the movie are, Gunn basically saves the best for last, as the remaining members of the team arm up to take on the kaiju Starro.

But if you're worried that the trailers have given too much away by spoiling Starro's presence, the final third of the film is far more involved than the marketing has shown off, with the epic, city-spanning final battle boasting some of Gunn's most inspired, unhinged filmmaking to date.

The gory action, the inspired character beats, and the sheer chaotic scale of it all adds up to make this one of the most playfully insane final acts to any superhero movie in recent memory.
