I can guarantee you right now that The Truman Show will be a critical flop. Critics tend not to like Jim Carrey in general because he doesn't appeal to their fine tastes. As for audiences, they'll go opening night, but then they'll tell their friends about a stupid movie they saw where Jim Carrey wasn't funny. There is no way this film will reach any sort of audience after the opening weekend, where it will flop.
