8. Yukio
Yukio is the second star of the miniseries. She is an assassin hired by Shingen to kill Wolverine, but develops feelings for him. She sees in Wolverine a kindred spirit. Someone who makes their own rules and lives life for the thrill, whether it be a good fight or the embrace of a lover. Wolverine too can see the similarities between Yukio and himself, but he only has eyes for Mariko. Yukio has no mutant powers, but is an expert fighter, with her trademark weapon throwing knives. She has no fear of death, and in fact, when she does die she wants it to be spectacular. She is a very strong character, and her influence was responsible for Storm reinventing herself. Yukio will be played by Rila Fukushima in The Wolverine. Rila has some very big shoes (or catsuit) to fill in playing Yukio. Hopefully she is able to do justice to Yukio the wild one.
