When Wolverine first arrived in Japan, he stormed his way into the Yashida Ancestral Stronghold to confront Shingen about forcing Mariko into marriage. Things did not however go according to Wolverines plan. Shingen challenged Wolverine to a fight with Bokan (wooden swords). Shingen is an expert swordsman and he taunts Wolverine into abandoning the Bokan and fighting with his claws. Shingen then defeats Wolverine, and Wolverine is shamed in the eyes of Mariko for turning the "friendly" fight into something serious by using his claws. Shingen Yashida will appear in The Wolverine played by Hiroyuki Sanada who is best known in the west for his role in The Last Samurai. In that film he gives Tom Cruise a serious beating with a Bokan in the rain. It will be fantastic seeing him do the same thing to Jackmans Wolverine.
An ordinary guy who is loving seeing his favourite superheroes being brought to life on the big and small screens, and is hopeful that the best is yet to come.
