The World’s End: 10 Reasons to Be Excited

9. The New Poster

The first poster for this intriguing little gem of an upcoming movie was leaked (most likely accidentally-on-purpose) way back in July. While it was an appetite whetting first look into the next hotly anticipated Pegg/Wright project, it was little more than a list of traditional sounding pub names ( see above) ending with The World€™s End in a bold red font. However, this newest official poster, released just recently, gives much more of a visual insight into what the film might actually be about. Check it out: As you can see, The World€™s End isn€™t just another pub. Note the hints on the poster that the apocalypse, the end of days, plays some major part in the film's plot. If Pegg/ Wright€™s previous work together is any sort of an indicator, we€™re not just looking at a movie about a mental pub crawl gone awry (just like we weren€™t looking at the typical Supercop in a small town in Hot Fuzz). We€™re probably looking at an insane, potentially world-ending sequence of events that may start as a pub crawl but will probably turn supernaturally cataclysmic before the credits roll. At the moment, solid details are sparse but the above poster really has piqued my interest to no end.
