The World's End Trailer: 5 Things We Learned

2. Recurring Stars

the world's end2 Like all good filmmakers, Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg have assembled somewhat of a comedy dream team. Like Adam McKay and Will Ferrel, they use a lot of the same actors in their projects. And why not? If you know it works, then don't fix it. That's how I wrote off my car. That and the fact I'm slightly unsafe on the roads, what with my tendency to ignore any and all road signs and speed limits. I like to think of them more like speed challenges. I digress. (And suggest no one here be an irresponsible driver. Be safe folks! And stay out of my way!) We know that Martin "Bilbo Baggins" Freeman and Paddy "British De Niro" Considine take up two of the other starring roles, and were both in Hot Fuzz with Freeman also having a cameo in Shaun Of The Dead. Rafe Spall (the other one of the Andy's in Hot Fuzz alongside Considine) is slated to appear, as is the brilliant Mark Heap who was modern artist Brian in Spaced. With more expected to be in cameo roles that will be kept a surprise until the films release, it'll be great to see the band back together on screen for perhaps the final time. It's always nice to have some nods to the past, but with Eddie Marsan (a great guy who once gave a talk at my drama school and absolutely killed it) David "Walder Frey" Bradley and Rosamund Pike being the biggest new additions, there'll be old faces and new to watch this summer.
