The Worst Moment Of Every James Bond Film - Ranked

22. Goldeneye - Sauna Fight

The World Is Not Enough
MGM

Goldeneye is another Bond film where bad individual scenes are hard to find. Still, there is one thing that does linger in the memory: this mid-film fight scene.

The sauna fight scene between Bond (Pierce Brosnan) and Xenia Onatopp (Famke Janssen), during which they also make-out, is very silly overall and the way in which Xenia, a genuinely terrifying character throughout much of the film, just gives up at the end and takes Bond to her boss is jarringly out-of-character for this formidable side-villain.

The scene where Xenia murders a man during sex was also misjudged and far too strong for a Bond film, but that moment is still undeniably striking while this scene will just induce eye-rolls and little else. Therefore, the sauna scene comes out 'on top' as the worst scene in this superb action film.
