9. It Focuses Too Much On The Comedy - Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2
Some of the jokes in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 are absolutely hysterical. The problem is that most of the best one-liners were spoilt in the trailer. A lot of the other gags fall flat or go on for too long like the scene with Ayesha's carpet or when Rocket ridicules Taserface's name.
Even though it's a comedy, GOTG2's best moments is when it takes itself seriously. The relationships between Star-Lord, Ego, and Yondu are among the most heartbreaking moments in the MCU. The moment where Drax tells Mantis about how he longs for his family is brief but tugs at your heartstrings.
These tearjerking moments would be more effective if they weren't routinely broken up by pointlessly inserted crude jokes.
