Thor Battles Alongside Captain America On The Set Of THE AVENGERS!
Images of Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans fighting CGI villains on the set of the Marvel superhero ensemble have emerged online.
As reported yesterday, director Joss Whedon has around two weeks of filming left on The Avengers which is currently shooting in Cleveland, Ohio, standing in for New York. The latest set of photos that surfaced online last week showed Chris Evans in his new and improved Captain America costume, bringing the character into the 21st Century after the World War II set summer blockbuster that introduced the character. Now more pictures have emerged from the set on the Daily Mails website, this time featuring Chris Hemsworth as Thor joining Captain America for what seems to be a large scale action set piece with CGI villains doing battle with the Marvel Comics superheroes. Evans and Hemsworth are clearly enjoying themselves in these photos embracing the spirit of their characters and their place in the team dynamic. 
Its great to finally see this film coming together and surely it wont be long now before we see photos of the whole team together. The Avengers has to be one of the most anticipated films in recent years bringing together some of Marvels most iconic characters for the first time on the big screen. 
Expected to hit cinemas on May 4, 2012, the film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Clark Gregg, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård and Amanda Righetti. Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Serenity) directs.
