5. He Tries To Kill People He Only Just Met
By the time Thor appears in the Avengers, it's already well-established that he's more than capable of killing with his hammer. He decimates the frost giants in Thor, most notably by punching straight through a giant beast's head, and takes the metal destroyer to pieces at the end of the film. With this in mind, his fight with Iron Man and Captain America in the forest demonstrates just how much of a d*ck Thor truly is. First, again over-reacting to taunting, he throws Mjolnir at Iron Man, not knowing how sturdy that metal suit is. For all he knows, he could have taken Tony's head right off his body and we have to assume that this was what he was going for. Secondly, he tries to fry Tony by sending a lightning bolt straight at him. Everybody know metal conducts electricity, none more so, one would imagine, than someone who can control lightning. So here, Thor really must be expecting Iron Man to get electrocuted to death inside his suit. Talk about an over-reaction. Finally, when Captain America gets involved like a lycra-clad boy scout (...that's a pretty disturbing image all round...), Thor decides to kill him. You make think I'm exaggerating, but I'm really not. As far as Thor knows, Captain America is just a man with a shield. Thor doesn't know that his shield is made of Vibratium and is indestructible. As far as he's concerned, he's going to hammer this puny mortal into the ground. Thankfully, this doesn't happen. But what we can take away from this encounter is that Thor is a murderous d*ck.
