Thor: The Dark World - 10 Most D*ckish Things Thor Has Done So Far

2. He Just Stands There As Tony Stark Falls To His Death

Thor And Cap Following on from number three, he really doesn't seem to do anything to help when he could. Iron Man pulls the most incredible self-sacrificing move by flying a nuclear warhead through a worm hole in the sky that opens onto alien-infested space. Even more heart-wrenchingly, he can't even get his girlfriend to pick up her mobile phone. Then, after a heart-stopping moment of suspense he falls back through the wormhole just as the nuke goes off and, unconscious, plummets towards the pavement. Cut to Thor. He's just noticed that Tony's in a spot of bother and appears to be swinging his hammer around to pick up the speed to go to his aid. However, before he can make his move, the Hulk manages to take a flying leap and cushion Iron Man's fall. But here's the thing. We've seen before that Thor can pretty much go from standing to flying through the air in 0.0009 seconds flat, barely needing to swing his hammer at all. He does it when fighting the giant Iron Man knock-off in New Mexico in Thor. So there's really no need for him to be gaining momentum for so long. And, on that note, why the hell didn't he zip up there and give Tony a hand disposing of the nuclear warhead? I don't know if Thor can breath in space (although we do see Loki hanging out on what looks like an asteroid, so it's not a bad guess that he can), but he could at least get closer to the entrance to the worm hole and make sure none of the aliens nip through, maybe even grab Iron Man as he falls past. But no, Thor's a d*ck. So he's just chilling on the ground.
