Thor: The Dark World - 6 Hidden Influences From Game Of Thrones

1. Backstabbing Trickery

Loki Thor 2 As previously stated, Game of Thrones is a series where various morally grey kingdoms are at war to take over the land of Westeros. Game of Thrones is not primarily focused on action however, but rather the conniving scheming surrounding each Kingdom€™s tactics. No one can nor should they trust anyone on Game of Thrones, regardless of how close a friendship there appears to be between characters. Similar to just about every other warlord on Game of Thrones, Loki cannot be trusted and is only after personal gain. He doesn€™t give a damn about Thor, their mother, Odin, or Asgard itself. He is a conniving sneaky bastard that€™s always up to no good and only after one thing; a civilization to rule. I fully expected the first twist as it was clear Thor was 100% prepared to execute this plan of his where they would work together to draw out the Aether. I absolutely knew there was no way Thor would uncuff Loki- possibly jeopardizing everything he is fighting for- without having a trick up his sleeve. I did not expect the ending scene though which sees Loki having mysteriously replaced Odin as King. Loki essentially proved himself in charge from the very beginning; that was utter brilliance and a backstabbing ruse taken straight out of a Game of Thrones textbook. Bravo, Alan Taylor!
