6. Bestowing The Power Of Thor

In Love and Thunder, Thor's main motivator comes in the form of Asgardian children, who have been kidnapped by Gorr and used as bait to lure the heroes to the Shadow Realm. His plan is to bring them to his home turf, in order to claim the weapon Stormbreaker, whose Bifrost capabilities will open the way to Eternity, housed at the centre of the universe.

With Valkyrie injured and Jane unwilling to wield mjolnir due to it accelerating her cancer, Thor turns to the captured Asgardians for help. Despite being children (and untrained ones at that), the god resorts to imbuing each and every one with the (temporary) mystical power of Thor. Newly powered up with glowing gold eyes and the mighty power of lightning, the children serve as Thor's army, fighting the shadow monsters while he takes on Gorr mano-a-mano.

Of course, this lending of power is only temporary, and eventually the kids skedaddle back to the safety of New Asgard after Stormbreaker is reclaimed.

Speaking of which...
