Thor: Ragnarok - 10 Big Implications Of Marvel Adding Hulk

2. ...But They Also Probably Won't Make World War Hulk

Sadly, the flip-side of there not being a Planet Hulk is that there can't really be a World War Hulk. Without sending Hulk to space and then blowing up his new home and wife, you don't get the super angry, super vengeful version of the character who returns to Earth full of Hell and goes about pulling apart every superhero team imaginable. He fights The Inhumans, the X-Men, the Gamma Corps, several Avengers teams and the Fantastic Four. As an event movie at the end of a future MCU Phase, it would have been glorious to see Hulk playing the chief villain. But now, because Hulk is heading to space of his own accord (presumably), the necessary plot device of his dead wife who he met during Planet Hulk isn't really possible, and there's not much else that could cause the same vengeful attack on all of Earth's heroes. Perhaps it will happen further down the line when Marvel realise how great it would be seeing Hulk tear through every hero team, but for now, this has just become distinctly unlikely.
