9. Is Odin Still Alive?
The end of Thor: The Dark World presented viewers with one of the biggest cliff-hangers in Marvel Cinematic Universe history Loki, on the throne of Asgard. This revelation begs a question: what exactly did Loki do with Odin? And is the one-eyed Asgardian Allfather even still alive? These dangling threads will need tying up in Thor: Ragnarok. It seems unlikely that the MCU bosses would be happy with Anthony Hopkins Odin dying off screen, so perhaps well see him locked up somewhere far removed from godly society. This would provide a nice role reversal from where things were at the start of The Dark World, and could also help develop Odins character a bit more. How would he act in captivity? Does he have the smarts to escape? It seems like theres serious storytelling potential there. Alternatively, another possibility one suggested by Geek.com - is that Odin has fled to Midgard (Earth) and has been wandering around warning people that the end is nigh. Of course, they all ignore him and dismiss the old codger as just another unhinged street-dweller. This possibility seems less conducive to character development, but could provide a big laugh or two.
