5. Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster
Who doesn't love a bit of Jeff Goldblum? Plus it should be interesting to see him portray something other than a geeky scientist.
Goldblum will play the Grandmaster, one of the oldest beings in the Marvel Universe and the ruler of the planet Sakaar, where he holds intergalactic gladiator contests.
In comic book continuity, Grandmaster is the brother of the Collector, who made his debut in the MCU in Guardians of the Galaxy, played by Benicio Del Toro.
Goldblum confirmed at Comic-Con that the familial connection between the two characters will be honoured, which means Ragnarok will mark an important step in bridging the gap between Guardians and the wider MCU.
