Thor: Ragnarok - 10 Reasons To Be Excited

Fans of the Green Goliath have been pining for a Planet Hulk movie for years, and Ragnarok is as close as they're ever going to get to one.

The 2006 Marvel Comics event was clearly a source of inspiration for the film, with the core premise of Bruce Banner in an alien world where he's forced to do battle in a gladiatorial contest making it into the film.

Other Planet Hulk elements, such as Korg's inclusion, are also being embraced.

Given that Universal currently holds the rights to Hulk solo outings, elements of the fan-favourite storyline in another movie was the best we could have hoped for.

Just don't hold your breath for World War Hulk - Banner's next stop will be Infinity War.
