8. Double Swords!

It was already rumoured, but it would appear that Mjolnir is not in Thor's possession any more, which makes for some interesting side questions. Is he no longer deemed worthy? Has Loki somehow removed the iconic weapon from him as part of him taking over Asgard? And if it was someone else, how the hell did they even manage to take it away?

The replacement weaponry comes in the shape of two blue swords - very obviously alien in design - that surely promise some excellent combat sequences. The blue blades are actually reminiscent of Odin's sword - the cleverly named Odinsword - but there's no way a weapon that powerful would be allowed in Thor's armoury for the gladiatorial tournaments...

The lack of his weapon would also explain why Thor is so unremarkable on Sakaar.
