20. Hela Is Cul

Hela's look is based very much on her traditional look in the comics, with the same silly headwear and the same colour and body design...

Her backstory in Ragnarok, though, has been taken from another character entirely: Cul Borson, who was Odin's brother and who was imprisoned and later freed in the present day during the Fear Itself story. Hela smashing Mjolnir also echoes Cul doing that to Captain America's shield in the same story.

She also borrows something of Angela - Thor's sister - in her link to Odin and Thor too (rather than being Loki's daughter), though Hela was actually originally introduced in the comics as Thor's sister. It just happened that Marvel changed the story and wrote that element out to have her be Loki's daughter.
