Thor: Ragnarok - Everything We Know So Far

5. Pictures From The Set

Thor Ragnarok Anthony Hopkins

Thor: Ragnarok has been the behind-the-scenes gift that keeps on giving, with a number of exciting on-set images slowly trickling out from both the usual paparazzi spy-cameras, and from the filmmakers themselves.

One of the most revealing shows Anthony Hopkins' Odin looking rather disheveled as he wanders the streets of Brisbane, which will double for New York City in the film.

It's unknown how he ends up here, but it's likely that Odin fled Asgard or was banished to our measly realm by Loki after the end of Thor: The Dark World, which saw the black-haired trickster assume the Asgardian throne.

More pictures from the Brisbane set gave us a look at Thor and Loki together, dressed in civilian clothing, and presumably on the lookout for their rather hairy father.

We've also been granted a closer look at Karl Urban's Skurge (more on him soon), and the incredibly close haircut he's going to sport for the film.

Lastly, another Brisbane image showed Chris Hemsworth's Thor holding a slip of card with a very familiar address scrawled across it...

Anyone who stuck around for Doctor Strange's post-credits tease probably has an idea what that refers to.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for over ten years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
