Thor: Ragnarok Reviews - 12 Critical Reactions You Need To Know

12. It's The Best Thor Movie...By Far

Thor Ragnarok
Marvel Studios
"With eccentric and genuinely funny director Taika Waititi getting the gig (after the more staid Branagh and Alan Taylor on the first two entries) and the movie going full-bore with both the comedy and the weirder aspects of the vast Marvel Universe, the studio has produced the most tonally coherent and entertaining Thor movie to date." - Den of Geek
"It took one of the most popular Hulk comic book stories ever, Planet Hulk, to make Thor: Ragnarok the most entertaining Thor movie yet...Thor: Ragnarok is a goofy, kitschy- but- fun romp and the most purely entertaining of the three Thor movies." - IGN

This shouldn't be especially surprising to anyone, but it's nice to have confirmation regardless: after the original Thor was a competent if fairly loose origin story and The Dark World was blandly forgettable, Ragnarok is near-universally agreed to blow its predecessors clean out of the water.

If you enjoyed the previous movies, this is its wackier, acid-tipped younger brother, and seems to once again prove that the third movies in the Marvel trilogies seem to be the most interesting and ambitious, if not the best.
