In Thor, the God of Thunder told Jane Foster, Your ancestors called it magic, but you call it scienceI come from a land where theyre one and the same. In The Dark World, it looks like well be spending a great deal of time in that land, and that could potentially mean some exciting things for the film and the universe it is set in. Weve already been promised by both director and actors that were going to see more of Thor in his role as God of Thunder, especially when it comes to battle. Heres hoping we get more than the (admittedly still cool) wind cyclones and lightning storms Thor summoned in the first movie. Also, in Marvel comics continuity, Malekith is a master sorcerer. Could this mean that well see not only hand to hand combat, like in the trailer, but a real display of just what the power of magic is in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
