Tim Hill in talks for Alvin and The Chipmunks movie

200px-Alvinchipmunks1983.jpgThe Alvin and The Chipmunks cartoon creeps me out. There is something about their squeaky voices that now I'm a grown adult, makes me really cringe. I use to like the cartoon and it's kickass theme song (it was at the time!!) but nowadays it turns my stomach quicker than out of date milk. Variety are reporting that Garfield 2 director Tim Hill is in talks to direct a CGI/LIVE ACTION hybrid based on the famous cartoon that was originally conceived in the 1950's. 99% of the time, animated and live action hybrids never work. The only film that's matched the two together quite well that I can think of is Who Framed Rogger Rabbit but that relied quite heavily on it's killer story and the awesome Bob Hoskins to carry the film over it's animated form. Any fans of Alvin and The Chipmunks? I have 0% interest in seeing this movie and the fact that this guy has Garfield 2 and Muppets from Space on his filmography, neither should you! source - variety, coming soon
