11. Lara Sets Sail

And so, with her mission in hand, Lara sets sail on a ship with its captain, Lu Ren (Daniel Wu). She tells him that she thinks she knows where her dad went, and when she locates it on a map, Lu Ren tells her that it's right in the middle of The Devil's Sea.

Lara tells him, "It'll be an adventure", to which he retorts, "Death is not an adventure." Lu Ren is an entirely new character created for the movie and is most likely a composite of various characters from the 2013 game reboot.

It seems like he'll be trying to keep Lara grounded throughout his adventure, though hopefully he doesn't end up done away with before the end of act one.
