2. Owen Wilson - Rushmore
Rushmore marks the first in the list to not actually star the aforementioned actor/writer. Owen Wilson whose partnership with quirky auteur Wes Anderson dates back to the early 90s is one of those uncanny pairings which works so wonderfully. Starting with Bottle Rocket in 96, Rushmore would be the second in their three outings to date (The Royal Tenenbaums was the last) and their most successful. Aiming for a heightened state of reality and taking inspiration from his own youth, Wilson painted a perfect picture of adolescence and rebellion in Andersons masterpiece.
