Type of time travel: Parallel time line Mode of transport: Portals (I think) This is a complex tale of time travel that some might consider not to be a true example of a time travel moviebut where the movie does brilliantly is in several scenes discussing the nature of time and the nature of time travel. Particularly incredible is the conversation between Donnie and his teacher about time travel and the possibility that there is only one true time line because of God to which his teacher responds that he cant discuss it because he might lose his job. One thing to note is that there is a directors cut that tries far too hard to explain what the original does well to keep obscure, so if you havent seen it avoid the directors cut.
