Top 10 Terrifying Kids From Horror Films

"Who the hell are you?" "I'm every little girl you ever watched... touched... hurt... screwed... killed!" Patrick Wilson plays Jeff, an urbane thirty-something with a cool apartment, a great job, and a penchant for underage girls; photographing them and... who knows what else? He meets gawky fourteen year old Hayley (Ellen Page) in an internet chat room where they banter flirtatiously before agreeing to meet. She wears her little red hoodie in what seems to be a parody of the fairytale and talks to him about all those pretty models he takes pictures of. Unfortunately for Jeff, Hayley isn't quite as naive as she appears, "Do you remember what I said about not drinking anything you didn't mix yourself? That's good advice for everyone." She suspects Jeff of dodgy dealings; her father's job has given her access to drugs and books on anatomy. Now she's planning an operation which will ensure that he won't be bothering girls for a while. While we've all fantasised about dealing out some vigilante justice (haven't we...?) this movie may find you rooting for the "wrong" person as Hayley mercilessly attacks Jeff. Ellen Page is unbelievably convincing as a giggly teenager. She's equally convincing as a cold and merciless avenger. Not only that, but she has a wicked sense of humour, as she buys cookies at the door with the words "Uncle Jeff loves his girl scouts."

As a jobbing TV stylist, Rebecca spends her days convincing actors that their ankles don't look fat in that, and occasionally creating emergency walls or furniture out of paper mache. She has been writing on and off for many years, spending her childhood plagiarising Enid Blyton, before moving on to Sweet Valley High books in her teens. She also spews out blog which covers feminism, country music, embarrassing things she's done in public, and why it's fun to believe in the healing power of dolphins and crystals: www.geniustoburn.blogspot.com
