2. Justin Timberlake - Robin/Riddler
With speculation surrounding the new Batman on film would be influenced greatly by the wildly popular video game series Arkham Asylum, combined with a more grizzled, experienced Dark Knight led many to think Robin would be a sure bet in the Batman/Superman film. This drove many to throw support behind the pop-singer/artist Justin Timberlake to take on the Boy Wonder. This rumor did not last long as Timberlake was asked by radio station Fresh 102.7 and came right out and declared: "I ain't playin' Robin. I have no aspiration to ever be a superhero in a movie. I just don't." Well, that settles that. But, wait there's more from JT on the Man of Steel sequel: "Now villain! I'll tell you the villain I want to play more than anything because I grew up loving Batman, funny enough, is the Riddler. The Riddler is my favorite villain. The Riddler was like a sociopath. He was proper crazy. So if I'm gonna play crazy, I'm wanna play like proper crazy. I'm ready. The Riddler. Give me a call." Timberlake also heaped praise on newly anointed Batman, and fellow Runner Runner co-star. "Ben Affleck as Batman, I like it," says Justin. "I worked with Ben last summer and I've seen his process. I think he's a brilliant filmmaker. I think he's an extreme talent so he could surprise a lot of people."
Let the games - and cropping Justin Timberlake images into green Riddler garb - begin!
