Top 6 Fast And Furious Villains

2. Takashi/D.K - The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift

Takashi Up until the sixth instalment, Tokyo Drift was by far my most favourable film from the franchise and not because of Lucas Black who played Sean Boswell, but for Brian Tee and the job he did playing Takashi, the Drift King. Tokyo Drift brought a whole new edge to the franchise, not your normal street racing but taking it to the lively streets of Japan where illegal street racing is not just a hobby, but a lifestyle and it was easy to see why it was so tempting to hop into a car and test your luck at drifting through the energetic streets. Well you certainly wouldn't want to test your luck against Takashi, who has strong links with the Yakuza; a member of transnational organization crime syndicates in Japan as he has the confidence, he is intimidating and he has the car to destroy anyone, obviously up until the end when he loses to Sean and is dethroned as D.K. I believe he relates to more Johnny Tran as he is more involved in races and stand-offs whilst Verone and Reyes as well as Braga all have their men do it all for them, although Takashi's gang members do know how to race and get their moments in the limelight at some point but it always falls back on Takashi as he is the man to beat, he looks unbeatable and he has the respect of everyone involved in the illegal street racing because he has built up his reputation, as well as having links with the Yakuza of course. For me, Takashi is the second best villain from the franchise because quite frankly he stands out most compared to the four antagonists below him; the fact that it is drifting and not standard racing provides it with more of an edge, the fact that Takashi is dominating in Tokyo builds up the respect in my eyes at the beginning, but like most good villains, I always wanted to see more of Takashi because I wanted to hate him more and more, and that is exactly what he managed to provide. Whenever he appeared, whether it was a basic smirk or the race against Han, I wanted Takashi there because I knew he would irritate me, get under my skin and I would want him dead, and he has managed to do that better than most of the villains from the franchise thus far, I couldn't really pick out any major faults from Takashi's character, he was always involved; a real danger on the road and remained as intimidating outside of the car as he was inside.
