8. The Graveyard

Gravestone This is another reference - or group of references more specifically - from other Pixar movies, and mentioning characters from other Pixar movies. In the opening sequence, as the toys watch a black and white horror film, we are taken through a creepy graveyard, and a number of gravestones, which are never actually shown on screen long enough to really notice anything. But if you're swift enough, you can catch sight of at least one familiar name - Simon J. Paladino, otherwise known as Gazerbeam from The Incredibles, whose epitaph offers a hint for those who don't know the name of his secret identity... "A public servant with a unique vision". It is said that some of the other graveyards, which aren't as easy to capture on screen have other Pixar character names on, including Coral from Finding Nemo and Gusteau, the ghostly chef who helps guide Remy the rat through his culinary adventure. But those images have proved elusive, and the only screenshot we managed proving inconclusive... Graves And it isn't just the graveyard that has important horror references...
