Transformers 4: 10 Things It Needs

6. Shorter Run-Time

The run-times of the Transformers films to date have ranged from 140-minutes to 154-minutes, which given the sheer amount of filler in these films is absolutely ridiculous; cutting down on just a few of the silly interludes between the action could easily give number four a slicker, more cohesive feel, and make us all feel a lot less fidgety in the cinema. Would it be so much to ask if these films ran even just half an hour less? Bay makes them so bloated with the inane comic relief, overly-expository explanations, and padded gaps between all the action; tighten everything up and you'll have a shorter experience that's also far more likely to make viewers and critics alike go easy on your product. After over 2 and a half hours of so-called "Bayhem", it's safe to say we were exhausted last time around. Streamline the product and the end result will certainly invite more repeat viewings.
