Transformers 4: 5 Human Characters Who Deserve More Storylines

3. Milesmiles trans Let's move on from the Everyman to the Everydouche and the Everydork. I freely admit to being a nerd/dork/geek. I did AP and Honors. I was a very intense violinist who would play a concert with her chamber orchestra instead of going to a school dance. In high school, a friend asked me advice on the Battle of Gettysburg during home room and I didn't realize her intentions until I found that two hours later, she gave my rambling lecture on Gettysburg as her term project for US History, complete with diagrams. I didn't understand some of the insults people hurled at me until years later. I did, however, always have at least one friend who was weirder than me and that made me feel a little cool. (And I admit that after that opening, it's slightly hard to believe, but you probably never went to my high school.) Miles fills this role. He's the friend that Sam goes to for advice, whether about the value of the Witwicky heirlooms or what to do when being stalked by Satan's Camaro. He's the one Sam has to rein in when he decides to monkey around at the lake. When Mikaela and Sam invite Miles on a double date in "Tales of the Fallen," Sam worries about whether or not he will "perv out." In the same way that I hope Trent reformed a little bit, I hope that Miles grew up to be someone really eccentric and successful. He was a friend to Sam when not even Mikaela noticed him. I want to know where he was when Sam was on his massive post-college job hunt or if they ever ran into each other on Spring Break.

That's Kaki pronounced like the pants, thank you very much, my family nickname and writing name. I am a Red Sox-loving, Doctor Who-quoting, Shaara-reading walking string quartet of a Mormon writer from Boston. I currently work 40 hours at a stressful desk job with a salary that lets me pick up and travel to places like Ireland or Philadelphia. I have no husband or kids, but I have five nephews to keep me entertained. When not writing, working or eating too much Indian food, I'm always looking for something new to learn, whether it's French or family history.
