Transformers: The Last Knight Review: 5 Ups & 6 Downs

5. Isabela Moner Is Disappointingly Underused

Isabela Moner appears in the film as Izabella, a 14-year-old girl who lives on the streets following the death of her parents in the Battle of Chicago from the third movie.

Though she's given a strong introduction and is a generally likeable, resourceful character, she essentially disappears from the movie at the half-way mark, only returning for a few scant minutes in the third act.

It's a shame as, while the prospect of throwing yet another teenager into the mix seems like a bad idea, Moner's solid performance actually made her surprisingly easy to warm to. Instead of building her as a character to be used in future entries, she's suddenly sidelined when Cade and co. head off to London, which is a damn shame.
