Tron 3: 10 Things We Need To See

10. Kevin Flynn

Jeff Bridges is an intrinsic piece of the franchise. Audiences followed his adventure when he was digitised by the Master Control Program in 1982 and his disappearance between the two films was the driving force that led his son into the Grid in 2010, where he was found alive and well, though unable to escape and in hiding from Clu. By the end of Legacy, he was seemingly destroyed when he reintegrated Clu into himself, thereby giving the character a noble, sacrificial sendoff. If Disney wants to continue the series for years to come, it's understandable that they will inevitably have to keep moving it forward without Bridges. And considering that Flynn himself was last seen exploding, it wouldn't be that hard to do so. However, whether as a lingering "ghost in the machine" or by some other means, Flynn's presence should still be felt in a way that can keep Bridges in the fold, however small his appearance may be. It's hard to imagine the series without him despite the fact that it will have to eventually let him go, but, for now, even a cameo would be welcomed.
