One of the programs Flynn joined up with during the events of the original film was a program named Ram, who was created by an ENCOM employee named Roy Kleinberg. Though Ram was derezzed, the viral marketing of Tron: Legacy's "Flynn Lives" campaign ensured that Kleinberg stayed in the fold as the one behind it all. In Legacy's short follow-up film Tron: The Next Day, the events following Sam's return from the Grid were touched upon, revealing that Alan Bradley had been appointed as ENCOM's new chairman. Bradley found Kleinberg and swayed the ex-employee to return to the company and help guide it towards a brighter future. Including Kleinberg in a minor role or brief appearance at ENCOM in Tron 3 would go a long way towards paying off the "Flynn Lives" storyline for those who followed it, while offering a cool link back to the original film in the process.
