Tron director to work again!

After nearly two decades since his last movie and 25 years since Tron opened in theatres, Steven Lisberger returns to directing for futuristic tale Soul Code.

Variety, the director of the early 80's cult sci-fi flick TRON is set to make a comeback in directing. Steven Lisberger is the guys name and the movie that's got him back in the chair is Soul Code (we know that links to a movie titled Source Code, but we think IMDB have it wrong) a futuristic tale of a tech pioneer who has perfected a way to download and transfer a person's memory and the consequences of what happens when she puts hers into that of a younger women's body. Sounds pretty cool right? The movie has netted Lisberger a six figure sum from Reliant Pictures who seem extremely enthuastic about the prospects of this picture...

"The same way 'Tron' was ahead of its time, this is way ahead of its time,"
Tron is a huge favourite cult favourite for many but my childhood came after this movie, so I'm more akin to stuff like Batman, Ghost Busters, Back to the Future, Masters of the Universe and such things. Tron was never really one that was on my radar, a little before my time. I have seen the movie though and probably the best thing i can say about it, is that it's definitely a product of it's time.
