Tron Legacy: 5 Reasons Why It Didn't Suck (But 5 Improvements For Sequel)

3. Strengthen The Mythology of the Tron World

Tron Uprising It is more than likely that Tron: Uprising is going to be cancelled. After shifting its time slot to a Late Night burn-off spot Sunday nights, it's not clear whether Disney XD has faith in its show in a more adult-centric time slot, or if they're giving up the ghost and giving the show a dignified death. Whichever scenario may be the case, Beck and his friends in Argon City might not be around for much longer which means we have a prime opportunity to incorporate that sect of the mythology into the next two planned sequels. (Not to mention, it gets Elijah Wood into a Disney picture.) One season is probably not going to be enough to finish what's probably been planned out as a larger, well connected arc; so if the show doesn't survive (or even if it does), its story can continue through the sequels. Also, Tron: Evolution should be woven into the fabric more tightly, despite being a horrifically bad game playing experience with a good story. The main reason being the character known as Abraxas, aka Jalen; an ISO who was mutated into a devastating computer virus, all thanks to the scheming of CLU. Though CLU is vanquished for the time being, and the MCP may rear its ugly head once more when the Dillingers come back to roost, Abraxas would be a great returning villain to throw into the mix. As an added bonus, this gives geek approved actor John Glover another big chance to flex his vocal (and possibly acting) muscles, as he voiced the character masterfully in the game. There's no shortage for material for two more sequels, especially with an already rich catalogue of characters and events already established in the Tron Universe.
