TRUE GRIT international poster is all kinds of moody

It's the last of the the year's Oscar offerings to be screened for critics and knowing the Coen Brothers would any of us really be surprised if True Grit straddled into town and quickly became THE film of the year? The last time the brothers genius tackled the western genre was No Country For Old Men, my favourite movie of 2007, a Best Picture winner and one of the few films that I've ever seen in my life that I feel comfortable calling perfect. I haven't as yet watched the trailer for the new movie - I want the whole screen experience to be fresh for me. I've purposefully not revisited the John Wayne classic original either. The movie hits U.S. screens on Dec 22nd but we aren't getting it till January 14th, a whole different year on the calendar. But complaining won't change matters. Empire have the exclusive poster and I don't need to say anymore. It's the Coens with Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and Josh Brolin. Enough said...
