7. Dull Performances

Again, a frequent complaint of the series, albeit surprising given that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have both proven themselves skilled actors in other films (Adventureland and Cosmopolis respectively). The feeling is that both of them are probably pretty bored with the series by now; they've made their money, and they probably just want to get to the finish line so they can work on worthier fare more befitting their talents, but there's still the overarching feeling that they're really phoning it in here. Aside from them, Taylor Lautner is as reliably wooden as you can expect, though is thankfully pushed to the background for a lot of the film's run-time; there's just so many bland, uninspired performances that a lot of the characters - especially those who already look quite similar - tend to blend into one for anybody who hasn't read the books. Furthermore - and we'll get to this more later - some of the strongest actors in the entire cast barely get a look in this time around.
