Uncharted Movie: 10 Important Developments You Need To Know

8. It's Rumoured To Shoot In Colombia

In January 2017, My Entertainment World reported (via Omega Underground) that the Uncharted movie was set to shoot on-location in Colombia, South America, later that year.

And though shooting never actually began last year, the use of Colombia as a location makes perfect sense.

Uncharted's settings are one of its strongest assets, the feeling that you're actually traversing dangerous caves, dense jungles and snowy mountains remaining palpable throughout the series. Shooting on-location will give the movie that same tangibility, and what's more, Colombia is a beautiful place that's brimming with history and lush forests - making it the perfect place for Drake to explore.

And interestingly enough, Colombia is also featured in Uncharted 3 during the young Nate chapter, and an older Drake visited South America during Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
