In order to prepare for roles, some actors lock themselves away from the outside world and record their character's feelings in a notebook, some actors develop signature laughs, voices and tics, and others immerse themselves in another culture, absorbing information they can use in their performance.

But if you're going to play Nathan Drake, there's only one thing you need to do to prepare: play the Uncharted games.

And that's exactly what Mr. Holland has been doing in recent months, after he posted a now-deleted video to his Instagram story of him booting up Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection on PS4.

Fortunately, the video was captured before it was removed, and several Twitter users shared it on their feeds.

This is a bit of a no-brainer on Holland's part, but it's nice to see that he's committed to ensuring his portrayal of Drake is as authentic as possible. And as an added bonus, he's in for one hell of a ride if he's never played the original trilogy before.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
