Valentine's For Singles: 8 Movies That Prove That Alone Is The Way To Go

6. Fatal Attraction (1987)

Starred Actors Such As: Megastars Michael Douglas and Glenn Close. Everyone has seen Fatal Attraction, and that's science; if you haven't you're probably too young to know about it, and too young to care. Michael Douglas portrays a successful lawyer, living "happily" with his family in New York City, but one weekend, when his wife and daughter are out of town, he engages in some very inappropriate extra-marital behaviour with Glenn Close, before sort of realising his error and dropping her like a bad smell to go back to his happy life. From that moment onwards, €œcrazy-Close€ decides that her over-riding life€™s goal should be to make Douglas her own, at all costs. She follows him around, appears in strange places and when he misses her calls, she arranges a get-together with his wife, and then his bunny rabbit. In short, she makes sure she will not be forgotten, especially by the poor rabbit, who ends up in a stewing pot. This movie will be used, for generations to come, as a cautionary tale against infidelity. The Movie Says It Best. "Well, what am I supposed to do? You won't answer my calls, you change your number. I mean, I'm not gonna be ignored, Dan!" Hell hath NO fury... You€™re Better Off Alone, especially because of that very specific scene in the film, where Douglas discovers his beloved pet swimming in soup on the oven top, courtesy of Close. No matter how hot the sex is (and it was extremely hot in the film), rabbits do not deserve to suffer the price of betrayal. Better to just stay single if you have pets then.
