Though her Razzie-worthy work in Suicide Squad has caused a lot of people to forget, Cara Delevingne is actually a surprisingly solid actress, her memorable work in 2015's Paper Towns proving especially compelling.

The model-turned-actress should return to audience's good books here with her charming, charismatic performance as Laureline, for while she has to work opposite a less-than-ideal Dane DeHaan, her confidence and entertaining delivery makes her a natural lead for a silly sci-fi movie like this.

Put your somewhat justified prejudices aside and she once again proves herself capable of carrying such a huge movie. Thankfully, she feels like more of a protagonist than Valerian for large chunks of the film, especially as he actually disappears for a pretty significant portion in the second act.
