Venom: 10 Scrapped Scenes And Characters Revealed By New Concept Art

Carnage despises Venom, and while he's spent years trying to kill Spider-Man, he'd like Eddie Brock's blood on his hands every bit as much. In the movie's original final act, it seems like Carnage was once again set to gain the upper hand on his "father," absorbing Eddie's "other" and transforming into a gigantic, formidable "Super Carnage."

Venom once did exactly this to Carnage in the source material, but was unable to contain his spawn. The same was set to happen in this movie, as other artwork shows the heroic alien entity eventually breaking his way out to fight his way back to Eddie.

The problem with a sequence like this is that Carnage essentially consuming Venom doesn't leave him with anyone to fight; after all, it's not like Eddie would have posed much of a threat! Instead, it would have perhaps made more sense for Carnage to absorb another of the aliens, giving Venom a damn near unstoppable foe to square off with at the end of Ruben Fleischer's 2018 release.
