Venom: 10 Scrapped Scenes And Characters Revealed By New Concept Art

6. Venom Vs. Carnage

It's a good job this didn't happen because there's no way Venom would have been able to do Carnage justice in a movie that was mostly devoted to telling Eddie Brock's origin story. However, concept art from an alternate version of the final battle reveals that Venom was set to have his hands full with his psychotic "son," though it's unclear who was bonded with the alien.

It could have been Carlton Drake or even a reimagined version of Cletus Kasady, but if there's one thing that's clear, it's that Carnage was both terrifying and extremely powerful. Like his comic book counterpart, he was going to be able to turn his hands into giant axes, and even use his feet like a drill to try and break through a shield Venom had created.

Inventive visuals like that were few and far between in Venom, and this piece of concept art shows Carnage using what was originally a ball and chain to try and skewer Venom once he'd grabbed hold of it. It's unclear what Andy Serkis has planned for the villain, but it would be no bad thing for him to borrow some of these ideas given how wacky and fun they are.
