Venom Comes To IMAX In Stunning Brand New Poster
Well, that looks great.
Venom, the first entry in Sony's Universe of Marvel Characters, is less than a month away from its premiere, and if you weren't already won over by the symbiote's toothy grin, then this latest poster designed exclusively for IMAX is sure to help.
Uploaded by Tom Hardy, who'll play Eddie Brock in the upcoming film, the poster features the symbiote in all its toothy, tongue-y glory, and bears all the inflections of Todd McFarlane's original design in its most primitive form, with individual spouts of symbiote goop oozing out of Brock's alien hitchhiker. Then there's the tongue, which is about as long as it is terrifying, and just as likely to take the character's status as 'Lethal Protector' to a whole other level entirely.
Venom releases October 5 in cinemas everywhere, and its latest trailer wasn't short of admirers. Based primarily on the Lethal Protector storyline from the comics, where Eddie Brock and the symbiote move to San Francisco and battle the villainous Life Foundation, Ruben Fleischer's film will mark the second appearance of Venom on the big-screen, and the first in Sony's new continuity. Audiences can also expect at least one more trailer to come within the coming weeks, which may even provide a more detailed look at the film's villain - Riot - played by Riz Ahmed.
