Tom Hardy's physical comedy throughout the film is generally responsible for many of its most entertaining moments, particularly when Venom uses his symbiotic powers to take control of Eddie's body for his own purposes.

In one especially odd moment early on, Venom even possesses Eddie's body to frantically scribble down an exact copy of the various drawings Kasady has made within his prison cell.

Venom then goes one further, using his own tendrils to create a crude painting of Rodeo Beach, the location where Cletus has hidden one of his murder victim's bodies, in turn restoring Eddie's reputation as a star reporter.
