3. Don't Use A Black Light

For the most part, this movie's branding has been perfectly on point. The poster that was released ahead of the trailer is gorgeous and the font used for the logo is the same classic title artwork from the Venom comics, but there's still a slightly silly problem with a different part of it.

There's one real tease of Venom in this trailer thanks to the ghostly appearance of his eyes and mouth at the end, and frankly, it couldn't look more like it was made out of sperm if it tried. Now, there's nothing wrong with sperm - and there is some precedent for an allegory of early pubescent masturbation in Spider-Man's blossoming powers in the existing movies - but this is just a bit... odd, to be honest.

And if it's being noticed already by intellectuals then just think what the childish people watching will think...
