The Ivar the Boneless actor found his feet in the 2012 TV miniseries 'Outsider' as Victor. He also had a featured role in the Christmas-themed TV series 'Tvillingerne & Julemanden', appearing in 24 episodes in 2013.

Whilst working on show, Alex starred in the 2018 short thriller 'Uro' alongside his 'Viking' co-star, Marco Ilsø (Hvitserk). In the following year, he played Adrian in the crime piece 'Et bånd mellem mennesker' ('A Bond Between People').

Since fulfilling the role of Ragnar's youngest son, Andersen has gone on to feature in two episodes of 'Centrum'; set in Copenhagen, Alex's country of birth. The comedy drama follows the personal lives of a group of teenagers, living through the current pandemic.

The blue-eyed Dane will be starring as Frederik in 'Skyggen i mit øje' ('Shadows in my Eyes'), another historical drama, also set in Copenhagen. Ole Bornedal's upcoming feature documents the accidentally bombing of a school during the Second World War and the fatal consequences of it.
